American Planning Association 2009 National Conference

The American Planning Association's annual conference is calling the Minneapolis Convention Center home for the next few days as planners from across the country descend on downtown Minneapolis. Their presence is already being felt as a large contingent of pedestrians on Nicollet Mall this afternoon were seen taking pictures of things that the regular person would find utterly boring. The conference sets the perfect stage for the launch of this blog, visitors and locals mixing it up while learning about...among other things...their surroundings. Having recently abandoned a 7-year long personal blog, I'm ready to start anew writing about the ins and outs of living in and visiting Minneapolis. There are a multitude of events to attend and interesting places to be in the City of Lakes, and I look forward to continued discovery of the things that make Minneapolis tick.
